Externships
Externships take teachers out of the classroom and into businesses or industries to gain hands-on experience and knowledge. The experience helps teachers gain real-world knowledge about the workforce their students are entering. And for business owners, externships provide an opportunity to communicate directly to educators the skills they seek in their employees.
In Greater Fort Dodge, two programs connect businesses and educators:
Iowa Central Externship Program
