Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance has new mobile friendly website

The Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance has a new mobile friendly website up and running.
The website, which can be accessed at greaterfortdodge.com, was launched Jan. 1, according to Kate Stucky, office manager.
Stucky said having a website that is easily accessed on all devices is a necessity.
“Back in 2012 when our original website launched, mobile responsiveness was not as big of a deal as it is now,” Stucky said. “More people are using their phones and we want to change with the times.”
According to Amy Pingel, communications specialist, 70 percent of visitors to the website were found to be using mobile devices rather than desktop computers.
“We know that this number is likely to increase as more and more people continue to utilize mobile technology to conduct business on a regular basis,” Pingel said.
The layout of the website will allow easier access for its users, Pingel said.
“It will adapt to fit any device you access it from,” Pingel said.
Those devices include an iPad, smartphone or desktop computer.
Information for job seekers, existing businesses, new businesses and non-profit organizations can be found on the website.
According to Stucky, job listings receive the most clicks.
