Economic development officials from across Iowa will gather in Fort Dodge next week for three days of educational sessions and tours.
The 2016 Fall Conference of the Professional Developers of Iowa will begin Wednesday and conclude Friday. About 200 people are expected to attend.
Gov. Terry Branstad, Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds, and Debi Durham, director of the Iowa Economic Development Authority, will address the group members.
"This is an opportunity to showcase Fort Dodge, Webster County and our region and the positive things that are happening," said Dennis Plautz, the chief executive officer of the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance.
Kelly Halsted, the alliance's economic development director, is a member of the board of directors for the Professional Developers of Iowa.
Plautz described the group as "the primary economic development association in the state of Iowa."
