We would like an Associate Chemist to join the team at our Fort Dodge, Iowa facility. This is a great opportunity for an Associate Chemist to join a team striving for quality and excellence daily.

Responsibilities

Responsible for sampling and testing of packaging components, raw materials, utilities, and products, and maintaining compliance with applicable GMP regulations for the testing of regulated pharmaceuticals. Write analytical test methods and procedures, Perform sampling and testing of packaging components, raw materials, in-process samples, finished products and stability samples. Perform testing using HPLC, GC, and FT-IR, Initiate stability studies per applicable protocol, Submit samples to contract labs for testing, Qualification, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment, Perform out-of-specification/out-of-trend investigations to determine root cause and implementation of CAPAs, Conforms to all health and safety procedures and policies. Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g., EEO, FDA, etc.) and Company policies and procedures. When violations are noted/observed they are to be immediately reported to management. Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts to maintain AML Riversides excellent reputation in the community. Performs work right first time within specified timelines.

Qualifications

Requires a science degree relevant to the pharmaceutical industry, Prefer laboratory experience in a GMP regulated industry, Able to perform testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting on laboratory instruments to include HPLC, GC, and FT-IR. Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Work well with others, Good English communication skills both written and oral, and ability to work collaboratively, Strong aptitude for technical learning, learn new skills and knowledge, Defines and plans priorities well. Comfortable balancing shifting priorities as required to meet business needs, Flexibility and ability to multitask and time manage effectively, Seeks to understand issues, trends, and opportunities within AML Riverside and the industry and incorporates this knowledge into daily work, Commitment to continuous improvement, Solid understanding of GMP’s and Company policy and procedures.
