As an Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will be groomed and developed to take on all aspects of a factory Maintenance Manager role. You will be a factory leader who manages and develops team members, provides technical assistance and administer maintenance functions for operations and strives for continuous improvement in safety and efficiency. This role will give you the challenges, training and leadership experience needed to grow your long-term career with Nestle Purina Pet Care. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide guidance and coaching, employee scheduling, evaluation and development for team members Administer the maintenance function and provide technical assistance for all plant operations Complete planning and budgeting for maintenance activities including Extraordinary (EXO) maintenance as well as annual budget for labor, repair materials, and outside contractors. Build and execute training plan for department including technicians, team leaders, and planners. Direct and coordinate the activities of the Maintenance Department to maintain equipment at the highest practical level through continuous improvement of the maintenance systems, as well as leadership within the facility’s continuous improvement initiatives Coordinate staffing needs within the department consistent with plant objectives and manage activities to continuously improve maintenance effectiveness. Report on Globe, SAP, AMM and PowerBI and how they will affect the roles and duties of the Maintenance Manager Lead and oversee all maintenance support to factory operational equipment, as well as general facility maintenance. Promote and encourage a safe work environment. Perform all other duties as assigned. Must be willing to relocate in 6-24 months.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma and 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, automotive, military or related environment OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, automotive, military or related environment
