As a Production Supervisor, you will coordinate duties of approximately 30 production operators. These duties include improving safety, reducing costs, improving quality, maximizing the department’s effectiveness through long term planning and project implementation, providing appropriate training and development, ensuring consistent roll out of plant policies and procedures, and maintaining open communication and positive employee relations. In this role, you will also drive continuous improvement within your team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage workforce compliance to facility safety standards. Assist in updating and development of safety standards as needed to ensure workforce safety. Motivate and lead a shift of approximately 30-35 employees to achieve key business objectives. Manage and execute weekly production schedules. Lead cross-functional shift hand-over meetings. This may also include capability to oversee sanitation crew. Report on key shift metrics. Develop action plans as needed to meet business objectives. Utilize day-to-day problem-solving tools and root cause analysis to eliminate recurrent issues. Support TPM implementation and expansion in the facility through management of an autonomous work group in the facility. Manage, assess, and coach workforce compliance to facility safety, quality, and operational standards. Perform all other duties assigned. Must be available for second or third shift and weekends as business needs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum): Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience: 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment 1+ year supervisory experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment Preferred: Two- or four-year degree in related field
