Committee Structure
The Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance has 11 different committees that oversee all the programs, activities and initiatives of the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance.
Finance
Mission Statement: The purpose of the Finance Committee is to provide professional advice and direction for current and future budgetary requirements to the board. This committee will provide feedback and insight into the needs for the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance surrounding the financial stability and accountability to the membership.
Legislative
Mission Statement: The purpose of the Legislative Committee is to ensure the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance acts as a legislative voice for economic and community development in the Region, specifically issues affecting the Growth Alliance's strategic plan. This committee will provide feedback and insight into the needs for the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance surrounding the legislative issues facing the Growth Alliance on local, state and federal levels.
Housing
Mission Statement: The purpose of this Housing Committee is to ensure there is an inventory of market priced housing and the appropriate type of housing is available for the needs of the region. This committee will provide feedback and insight into the needs for the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance surrounding the topic of housing for the region.
Human Development
Mission Statement: The purpose of the Human Development Committee is to put in place a comprehensive plan to develop professionals in the Region. This committee will provide feedback and insight into the needs for the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance surrounding the topic of personal and professional development.
Image
Mission Statement: The purpose of the Image Committee is to enhance community appearance and environmental integrity, as well as change internal and external residents’ perceptions of the region. This committee will provide feedback and insight into the needs for the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance surrounding the topic of community image.
Infrastructure
Mission Statement: The purpose of the Infrastructure Committee is to ensure infrastructure needs are being met now and into the future. Infrastructure could include, but not limited to; water, sewer, gas, electric, telecommunications/internet, air, roads, etc. This committee will provide feedback and insight into the needs for the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance surrounding the topic of infrastructure for the region.
Communications
Mission Statement: The purpose the Communications Committee is to ensure the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance and the Greater Fort Dodge Region are being accurately represented through multi-faceted marketing/public relations strategy. This committee will provide feedback and insight into the needs for the Growth Alliance marketing and public relations activities.
Membership
Mission Statement: The purpose of the Membership Committee is to ensure membership recruitment is sustainable and the benefits offered are comparable to the return on investment. This committee will provide feedback and insight into the needs for the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance membership.
Primary Sector
Mission Statement: The purpose of the Primary Sector Committee is to ensure the growth of the existing primary sector and the creation of an attractive business climate for new primary sector companies. This committee will provide feedback and insight into the needs for the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance surrounding the primary sector for the region.
Retail
Mission Statement: The purpose of the Retail Committee is to ensure the growth of existing retail sector and creation of an attractive market for new retail to the region. This committee will provide feedback and insight into the needs for the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance surrounding the retail sector for the region.
Workforce
Mission Statement: The purpose of the Workforce Committee is to maintain, develop, evaluate and retain the region’s workforce and recruit specific talent as needed. This committee will provide feedback and insight into the needs for the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance surrounding the topic of workforce.
