The Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance is working for the betterment of our entire community. By focusing efforts around the economic growth of our region, we are actively taking steps to grow local businesses, recruit new ones, create jobs and enhance the quality of life for our residents. Your membership makes this possible.
Why Local Businesses Support the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance
Business owners, executives, civic leaders, non-profit agencies, and community members support the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance because of its daily focus on growing our regional economy.
“Being a member of the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance is an investment in the growth of our community. The Growth Alliance continuously works to find companies that are looking to grow and locate in the area. They also reach out to existing area businesses and stakeholders to help facilitate the needs of their organization by working harmoniously with the city, county and state to overcome obstacles for growth. They also offer dozens of programs for learning opportunities to help ensure a prosperous future for the region. This work is evidenced by how strong our area has grown over the last several years and the growth would not have happened without the Growth Alliance being a participant and leader at the table.”
- Kraig Barber, First State Bank, Market President, Fort Dodge
''We appreciate the Fort Dodge Area Growth Alliance for the daily effort of the Board of Directors and staff, to enhance our work world in Webster County and the surrounding area. The Growth Alliance office staff presence, their building availability and meeting rooms, have facilitated collaboration among many facets of business, on developmental projects for our area. We are confident Growth Alliance Membership involves our company in helping our community, our associates, their families and the Webster County consumers we serve. Our Fort Dodge Area Growth Alliance offers a vibrant channel for economic development synergy!''
- Ted Hugghins, President, Abstract Associates of Iowa Inc.
The Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance seeks to address the needs of local businesses by helping them to solve challenges, provide them with more opportunities, and fill the gaps as needed. As Kraig Barber said, the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance leads so that Greater Fort Dodge can win.
Your Membership Helps the Growth Alliance to Produce Results for Our Community
The Greater Fort Dodge economy is growing with expansion projects like CJ Bio America’s $53-million addition being built with completion in 2019. Local businesses are renovating and making improvements as well, as evident by the Marian Home and Village multi-million dollar renovation project.
Expansion is also taking place at White Transfer with them investing $2 million to build an additional 50,000-square-feet at their Fort Dodge facility.
On the housing front, 70 new homes are slated to be built at Gypsum Creek Crossing, on Bill and Eva Scheideman’s former farm site. Additional homes are being built in the Williams Bend housing development.
The Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance is also supporting community members who are taking steps to enhance the quality of life for our residents – people like Bill Greehey who recently donated $3 million from the Greehey Family Foundation to create the Greehey Family Student Success Center on Iowa Central Community College’s Fort Dodge campus.
These are just a few of the many activities taking place within the region, supported by the Growth Alliance.
The most important membership benefit is the ability to help the community grow and the positive impact that has on your business, friends and neighbors. In addition, members receive discounted rates on promotional tools, informational events, and radio appearances. These are highly effective in getting your name out into the community. Benefits include access to meeting space, welcome bags, workforce recruitment assistance, access to the Small Business Center, and bulk stamp usage as well.
