Pederson named GFDGA Volunteer of the year

A man who regularly gives tours of Fort Dodge to potential new residents was named the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance Volunteer of the Year Thursday night.
Steve Pederson was named the winner of that honor during the alliance’s annual dinner.
Dennis Plautz, the alliance’s chief executive officer, said Pederson is always positive and has given more community tours than anyone else.

An image of a snowy scene along a tree-lined road captured top honors Thursday in a photography contest conducted by the Image Committee of the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance.
The photo was taken by Hope Thier, the art educator and assistant director of the Blanden Memorial Art Museum.
