NEW YORK - Inc. magazine has ranked McClure Engineering Co. No. 4,620 on its 35th annual Inc. 5000, a ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a look at the most successful companies within the American economy's most dynamic segment- its independent small businesses. Companies such as Microsoft, Dell, Domino's Pizza, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, Yelp, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees of the Inc. 5000.
Terry Lutz, former Fort Dodge mayor, is president and chief executive officer of McClure Engineering Co., which was founded in 1956. MEC's area of expertise is in guiding its clients on making long-term capital investments in infrastructure. The company specializes in public infrastructure and capital improvements planning in the areas of transportation, water, wastewater, environmental, structural, rail, transloading, land development, aviation, surveying, mapping (including 3D high definition scanning), county drainage and stormwater management projects throughout the Midwest and nationally.
