Description We are currently looking to fill one full-time Pharmacy tech position who is eager to join our staff and practice pharmacy the way it was meant to be by making a difference in the lives of patients. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. College preferred. Experience in clinical pharmacy and home health industry. Minimum of 2 years Pharmacy Tech experience Effective verbal and written communication skills. Perform basic math functions. Required Knowledge/Experience: Knowledge of medications and medical terminology. Required License: Current state pharmacy technician certification preferred. Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, walking at desk, in office and throughout facility Operation of office machinery and equipment Occasionally lift/move items up to 40 pounds Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
Competency Requirements: Pharmacy Technician, (some technicians will be competent in glucometers) Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned as needed) Assists pharmacist to prepare and dispense medication. Receives prescriptions issued by physicians, or other authorized prescribers, to fill for customers. Mixes prescriptions, fills bottles with prescribed pills, and labels bottles. Maintain inventory by counting stock, entering data, and receiving and storing incoming inventory. Cleans and organizes pharmaceutical inventory. Assists pharmacist by entering data such as patient demographics, prescribed medications, to maintain pharmacy files and inventory. Maintains stock and supplies in the pharmacy, including on-going maintenance of the Script Pro robot. Answer questions and provides necessary information to customers about insurances, pharmacy regulations and other important information. Assists pharmacy customers, including answering telephone calls and processing sales transactions. Represents company values of integrity and superior service at all times. Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all customers, suppliers, healthcare professionals, and other contacts that work with, and for Daniel Pharmacy.
