Residential Development

Recent years have brought many new businesses to Greater Fort Dodge, and while that’s great news for the regional economy, it has also brought challenges. One of these challenges is a housing shortage for families who want to take advantage of the new jobs in our region.

The Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance and the City of Fort Dodge are collaborating on solutions, including incentives for development and a comprehensive housing study, completed in 2012, and an urban revitalization plan.
