The Greater Fort Dodge area is teeming with superior educational opportunities that extend from courses to clubs. Seeing our students spend the holiday season enjoying local opportunities for shopping and dining remind us of how fortunate we are to call ourselves home to many fine institutions of education like Iowa Central Community College, the Fort Dodge Community School District, St. Edmond Catholic Schools System, Saint Paul Lutheran School, Manson Northwest Webster Schools, Southeast Valley Schools, Community Christian School, Buena Vista University and more.

“We are thankful for our families who support our students, staff and schools in good times and when things are challenging. And, we are thankful for community partners who share their time and expertise to help our students grow,” says Jesse Ulrich, Superintendent of Schools, Fort Dodge Community School District.

Our student body is intelligent, driven and competent. Our colleges and universities rank highly in the nation. The state of Iowa has one of the nation’s highest high school retention and graduation rates. Our high school students are able to earn college credit through our local Iowa Central Community College, we are able to offer free preschool for 4-year-olds, and we are home to a number of reputable private schools.

In addition to the outstanding educational system, we’ve been fortunate enough to also keep all of the educational facilities and learning technology updated and improved. These updated buildings facilitate the best work environment for our students and allow them to thoroughly enjoy their time at school.

Our regional educational system also provides opportunities for students to engage in clubs. No matter what interests students may have, there is a club or extracurricular activity that fits their needs and wants and inspires them! Clubs and athletics give students opportunities to hone their skills. Local businesses also interact with our school systems and sponsor many school events. The local business relationships with our school provide extra opportunities for work and work training for our students.

We are grateful for the many opportunities for our students. Our community supports our student body and loves to see them shine! See you around town this holiday season!
